And here we are - now at his first birthday session and cake smash! He was such a happy little guy, and even got up and ran off set to give me a few hugs. Best job ever. I love how his images turned out and hope his mama is enjoying some extra sweet snuggles today from her one year old.

Noah's 1st Birthday Cake Smash {Austin Baby Photographer}
Oh, how quickly babies change! I feel like not too long ago, we were shooting his newborn session (click here for that) and two of my favorite images to date...

John Major's Newborn Sessions: And Baby Makes 7! {Austin Family Photographer}
It is hard to believe that this little man all started right here... (click here for the full blog post and more sweet pics).
His newborn session was a lot of fun, even though he was a tough cookie when it came time to sleep. But I won that challenge, wouldn't you agree?
A few days later, we followed up with a lifestyle session at the F family's beautiful home. Sometimes the best things in life are unplanned, just like this little guy. What a fun addition to a super sweet family!
One of my favorite sibling shots... ever.
To the F Family: Congratulations on baby making 7. You have such a nice family and your kids are so sweet! Thank you for choosing me to capture such special times in your family's lives together.

Paige's 1st Birthday Cake Smash {Austin Family Photographer}
Oh, how I adore this baby girl! I first met her a year ago for her newborn session. Click here for all of that sweetness.
At our newborn session, we realized that their family lived just down the street from mine! Since then, they have become dear friends, but sadly they don't live down the street anymore. They moved up to Dallas, but that didn't stop them from coming back to Austin for sweet Paige's cake smash session! I feel so honored that they drove 3 hours to Austin for their session, and just love how their images turned out.
Here is a sneak peek into our morning together. Isn't she a doll?!
Flashback to last year... oh how quickly babies grow!

Sweet Dylan's Newborn Session {Austin Newborn Photographer}
I think it is safe to say I am a bit behind in blogging. But if you know photographers, you know that the months of September through December are full-out crazy. Wonderfully busy, but full-out crazy getting all of those sessions in and beautiful portraits to our clients before the holidays. (Not to mention being Santa's helper and getting all things Christmas lined up for my own family!) But now that the holidays are behind us, I am digging in and catching up a bit.
Oh, how I love working with the H Family! I first met mom and big brother for the maternity session, and it honestly felt like we were old friends. I love that about my job and the people I get to work with! Their maternity session turned out SO cute... click here for the whole story and more images from that session.
Big Brother's daddy is a doctor, so we turned this sweet image below into a beautiful canvas for his office as a surprise. How fun!
And then came the arrival of handsome Dylan. Other than pottying on me twice in the first few minutes (just part of our job), he was an absolute angel during our session. Enjoy a sneak peek into our morning together. Are they not the cutest little family?!
Dylan gave his big brother a book, and he was so happy to read it to his new baby brother. I love this shot!
To the H Family: I have loved our sessions together so far, and feel like we've all known each other for years. I hope you are enjoying every day of being a family of four. Can't wait to work with you again!

A Day in the Life...
You all know I like to take pictures. :)
I was inspired by a great article in a photographer magazine awhile back, and decided that for one full day... from start to finish (as much as possible), I would photograph my day with the kiddos. I took all expectations on clarity, composition, etc. off of my photographer-self and just shot.
I am so glad I did. But I am not going to lie, it was a lot of (extra) work. But oh-so-rewarding, especially now looking back on it. And that was only a few months ago! I can only imagine when they are 16 and 18 one day, these images will be even sweeter for me to look at.
My challenge for you mamas out there... capture a day on camera. Have that camera in your pocket (or around your neck if it's a DSLR) and capture your day. All of its sweetness, craziness, chaos, mess, and love. And then make a little photo-book of it, put it on your book shelf, and melt every time you go through it in the future. :)

Little Harper: Pint Sized Perfection {Austin Newborn Photographer}
What a little beauty Harper was! She was six pounds of newborn perfection.
I love newborn photography for so many reasons, and capturing the love that new parents have for their much anticipated baby is near the top of that list.
Enjoy a sneak peek from our time together. Isn't she a doll?!
We were almost through our session when her mom mentioned that Harper's nursery has a mermaid theme. So I whipped this out and we just melted at the way the image turned out. Now her nursery will have this sweet image up on its walls!
To The J Family: Congratulations on your beautiful new addition. She is perfection! Thanks for choosing me to capture such sweet moments while she was so tiny. Looking forward to working with you all again!

Sweet Henry {Austin Newborn and Family Photographer}
Cute as a button. That is what little Henry was!
I loved getting to work with the W Family again and being their family photographer. Seems like just yesterday I met them... and now Cooper is a big brother! Click here for their adorable session from last year at this time.
