Zane's 1st Birthday Cake Smash {Austin Baby Photographer}

Oh, little Zane.  How adorable he was!

This session brings a smile to my face for several reasons.  It was the first official session in my new Miles of Smiles Photography Studio (click here), Zane was a doll, his mother was so sweet, and it was just a fun session from start to finish!

We started out with some regular shots first.  His little bow-tie and outfit just melted me.   Then we headed to the cake smash part of the session.

So... Zane didn't really enjoy his cake too much.  Below is "the evolution of a cake smash" for Zane.  He just didn't like being dirty.  (Don't tell him, but the last three pictures on the right (below) made his mama and I giggle a little bit  during the session.  He would take a drink of his bottle, seem to be okay, and then fall forward over his cake in dissatisfaction.  The second or third time he did that, we knew to move on to the next part of the session.  Sweet baby!)

And OH did he love his bubble bath!  Zane won the title of "Biggest Splasher" to date.  That boy can splash.

To his mama: Thanks for choosing Miles of Smiles Photography to capture this fun time in your little man's life!  He is precious, and you were both a joy to work with.  Enjoy those sweet babies.

Darling Dominic - 2 Weeks New {Austin Newborn Photographer}

Another sweet baby boy came to my new photography studio for a session.  And oh, how proud Big Sister was of her darling little brother.  It has been a very busy but fun June around Miles of Smiles Photography!

Dominic was so sweet to work with, but let me tell you, when it was feeding time, it.was.feeding.time.  He only fell for one of my many tricks, but luckily, that was all we needed to complete the session.  He slept beautifully for most of it.

B Family: It has been so much fun watching your family grow over the last 4 years.  And who would have thought that our little blue house that we all met at for our (church) small group (5+ years ago pre-babies) would be the same place I would open my photography studio and take portraits of your babies in?!  God is so good.

Enjoy a sneak peek into our time together.

Little Eshaan ~ 2.5 Weeks New {Austin Newborn Photographer}

When Eshaan's mom called me, her baby boy was already two weeks old.  And I am *SO* glad that I happened to have a spot available and that we were able to squeeze in a session, because the images we got are priceless.  {Please note: That doesn't usually happen on our calendar.  So if you're expecting a baby, it's always best to get on my schedule at the start of your third trimester.}

He absolutely rocked his newborn session, and is such a handsome little guy.  He was only awake during one part of our session, and looked right at the camera for his family photos with those big, beautiful eyes.  Then he smiled and went right back to sleep.

At the time of this session, I was in the process of moving into my new photography studio so we did this session in their beautiful home.   Enjoy a sneak peek into our morning together!

Someone had given E a few superhero babies, so when his dad brought this baby Spiderman out of his nursery, I was excited to use it.  What a fun image to have in his room as he grows and becomes a huge superhero fan.  (My little Miles is ALL about superheroes right now, and oh, what I'd give for an image of him like this as a tiny baby.)

And in addition to their order of prints and digital images, we also created this custom collage for his nursery.  (See watermarked version of it below.  (Their version obviously didn't have the watermark.))  Isn't it adorable?

I love getting to work with my clients and create custom artwork for their homes.  There is so much more value in getting to enjoy something displayed in your home vs. a CD of pictures sitting in a drawer.  So if you have images on CDs from previous photography sessions of your family, print (and display) those babies.  You'll be glad you did!

To E's Family: It was a pleasure working with all of you.  I'm so glad E's Grandmother could be involved in the session too... what sweet memories those images will be for E as he grows up.  Enjoy your beautiful baby boy... he is perfect.

Our New STUDIO!

I am so excited to introduce you to our new STUDIO!  It just opened in mid-June 2014, and is already getting a lot of use.  (And what was once my home studio space has now been filled with my kiddos' toys, so everyone is happy now!)

The studio is filled with adorable newborn, baby, and child props and so much more!

OUR NEW STUDIO:
Our new studio is up and running!  Check it out... it's just five minutes south of downtown Austin.  More sneak peeks to come, and stay tuned, because we'll be doing a Grand Opening event sometime in the fall.  Stay tuned by "Liking" our Facebook page at "Miles of Smiles Photography by Sarah."

Scheduling Info: Summer 2014 is currently about 90% full.  Fall 2014 is about 80% full.  So it's never too  early to get on the calendar!  It is always best to plan your session about 2-3 months in advance, and 3-4 months in advance for newborns and Fall sessions.

The H Family: Wildflower Session

Two of my favorite things... The H Family and the beautiful red and yellow wildflowers here in Austin!

And one more of my favorite things... Getting to watch the families that I serve with photography grow.  From baby bumps, to newborns, to infants, to big kids... it is just awesome to watch.  And to photograph.

Oh, the H Family... what can I say?  Their laughter is contagious, Big Brother has a laugh I could photograph all day long, and Baby Brother's little rolls just steal my heart.  I loved getting to work with them again this spring.  Click here for their maternity and newborn session sneak peek from last year.

Here is a sneak peek into our session together.

H Family: Thanks for being such a fun family to work with!  And thanks for choosing Miles of Smiles Photography.  Can't wait for our next session!

The W Family: Wildflower Session

I loved getting to work with the W Family again.  Last time I worked with them, little H was just a few days old.  Click here for his newborn session.

I couldn't believe how big he had gotten, and how Big Brother had grown up and how he has fallen in love with his Little Brother!  (At the newborn session, Big Brother wasn't so sure...)  He also officially gets the award for "Best Boy Hair."  Don't you think?!  It's rad.

Take a peek, but prepare for their cuteness and big blue eyes!

W Family: Thanks for choosing me/Miles of Smiles Photography to be your family's photographer!

The P Family: Emma's 3 Month Session {Austin Family Photographer}

Small, squishy, sweet and smiley babies... they are where it's at.  And Miss Emma was no exception!

She was an absolute doll to work with, and I love how her session turned out.  Enjoy a sneak peek into our morning and smiles together.  Sweet girl got so tired from "modeling" that we even got some adorable sleepy images of her at 3 months old!

P Family: I hope you're enjoying your images!  It was a pleasure working with you... Emma is just precious.

Bluebonnet Mini-Sessions: The H Family {Austin Family Photographer}

The bluebonnets were out in full effect, as was the cuteness from the H boys!  Their mama wasn't sure we could get her littlest one to smile, but we definitely managed to do that.  Enjoy some sweet sneak peeks into their session.

H Family: Thanks for choosing Miles of Smiles Photography for your family's portraits.  I hope you're loving your images and that pretty canvas hanging on your wall!  I look forward to serving you again.

My Canvases in Austin Regional Clinic - South OB

I am excited to blog about the fact that I have added another OB/GYN office to my list of places where my work is displayed.  (My work has been in Renaissance Women's Group OB/GYN offices (Dr. Mills and Dr. Montalvo's suites) since 2012.)

To say I feel blessed to have my work up in the new offices of Austin Regional Clinic - South OB is an understatement.

Every time I go in there, I get goosebumps seeing my images and favorite product (canvas gallery wraps) adorning those walls!  Thanks to Dr. B. for making that connection and being so great to work with during the whole install process!  The other doctors and staff members have been fabulous too.

It was an intense design process on my end during my busy fall season last year... determining which images would go where, in what sizes, what arrangements, etc... but I had a blast doing it.  (If you know me at all, you know I love that creative design side of my job as a photographer!)  And let me tell you... installing 35+ canvases (with precision, might I add) was a good workout!

Here are just some of the "before and after" pictures taken a few days before things were finished and everyone moved in to the new office space.   (Please forgive the not-so-awesome quality of pictures... I didn't have my mega-camera with me when taking these.)

Spring 2013, I got to work with about 16 of the ARC-South OB families doing mini-sessions.  And those families are featured on an entire hallway.

There are a few rooms that I haven't had a chance to photograph yet... hopefully I'll be able to do that soon.  A big "Thank You" to Austin Regional Clinic - South OB for allowing me to display my work in your offices.  Such an honor, and such a great group of people to work with!  I hope your patients have been enjoying the canvases too.
