Our Canvas Gallery Wrap Displays (Updated): Renaissance Women's Group

What a fun road it has been since I did my first portrait install back in the summer of 2012 at Renaissance Women's Group (Dr. Mills' exam rooms).  Dr. Mills has been my doctor since I first moved to Austin in 2004, and I just adore her.  I have so enjoyed photographing her family since my business started, and so appreciative of her support and the opportunity to display my work there.  In 2013, I expanded into Dr. Montalvo's exam rooms as well there at Renaissance Women's Group.

I think about how far my business has come since 2012, and I just feel my heart overflowing with such a feeling of gratitude.  (And I understand why I might have been so tired since then too.)  ;)

Our displays have come a loooooong way since the first install (click here) in 2012.  I just did a huge overhaul of all displays up there, and installed my new line of AH-mazing Canvas Gallery Wraps.  They are like no other you will find out there... I adore them, and so do my clients!

Here is what the exam rooms look like after my latest install this week.  Let me tell you... installs like this count as two workouts!

My Canvas Displays (Updated): Austin Regional Clinic - South OB

I first installed canvases at Austin Regional Clinic - South OB back when they opened up their new location in January (click here).  The staff there is so awesome, and so much fun.  And so are their families!  I got to work with about 15 of their families last year for mini-sessions.

It was time to update and move some canvases around to OB/GYN locations, so last week I enjoyed installing some updated canvases at Austin Regional Clinic - South OB.  Here are some pics.

My Canvas Displays: Austin Maternal Fetal Medicine

I first heard of Austin Maternal Fetal Medicine (AMFM) when I started working with this adorable family below.  This mama brought a stethoscope to her maternity session because she wanted to do an image where we could create a gorgeous canvas gallery wrap to give to her husband as a surprise in his office (at AMFM).

And over the course of the last year, I have enjoyed doing their newborn portraits, a few family mini-sessions, and most recently, their baby's one year Cake Smash session. What an adorable family they are, and I feel so blessed to get to work with people like this and enjoy their friendship along the way.

A few months ago, Dr. H asked me if I would like to put my Canvas Gallery Wrap displays in their new South Office.  And after months of planning, updating my other 2 OB/GYN office canvas displays, and moving some to this new location, I am (very) excited to say it is complete!

Here is what Austin Maternal Fetal Medicine offices look like now.  And isn't my little assistant cute?  Sweet Miles wanted to help his mama with this project.  I love showing him things like this so he understands a bit more about what his mama does for work.

What is a Cake Smash? {Austin Baby Photographer}

Cake Smash sessions are quickly becoming one of my most popular offerings.  I have three of them next week!  How sweet (pun intended) is that?!

Some people have never heard of a cake smash, so I wanted to explain it here.  A Cake Smash session is perfect for a first or second birthday, and is such a fun and unique way to celebrate (and remember in pictures) your baby hitting that amazing milestone!

{Please note: Below is what our 2014 Cake Smash Sessions included.  Pricing/options are subject to change.  Please contact me for most updated pricing/package info.}

It is an hour long weekday session in my photography studio (click here for a tour), and includes 10 digital images on CD with print release.  Many clients also purchase an adorable collage of images from the session to hang in baby's nursery, or additional prints and/or digital files.

We start out with a set up where baby is wearing a regular outfit.  Then we work our way into the cake smash part of the session.  And we finish things up with a bubble bath, which is a baby favorite, and provides us with the cutest images!

{If you're looking for adorable Cake Smash outfits, I know the perfect place, and let clients know that in their consultation email.}

Here is what a Cake Smash session with Miles of Smiles Photography looks like from start to finish.  This is one of my newborn clients... all grown up at one year old!  Love her little smile.

Warming up to the camera...

Enjoying her delicious cake... {I think she would have sat there quietly all day picking at her cake with that spoon if we would have let her!}

All smiles in the tub!

It's amazing how much babies change in just one year.  See how little Ellie changed in her first year?  I feel so blessed to get to capture memories like this for my clients to enjoy as artwork in their homes for many years to come, and even to pass on to their babies when they are grown.

Contact me if you want a Cake Smash session of your own.  And remember - my calendar fills 2-3 months in advance (and 3-4 months in advance for fall).

My Canvases in Austin Regional Clinic - South OB

I am excited to blog about the fact that I have added another OB/GYN office to my list of places where my work is displayed.  (My work has been in Renaissance Women's Group OB/GYN offices (Dr. Mills and Dr. Montalvo's suites) since 2012.)

To say I feel blessed to have my work up in the new offices of Austin Regional Clinic - South OB is an understatement.

Every time I go in there, I get goosebumps seeing my images and favorite product (canvas gallery wraps) adorning those walls!  Thanks to Dr. B. for making that connection and being so great to work with during the whole install process!  The other doctors and staff members have been fabulous too.

It was an intense design process on my end during my busy fall season last year... determining which images would go where, in what sizes, what arrangements, etc... but I had a blast doing it.  (If you know me at all, you know I love that creative design side of my job as a photographer!)  And let me tell you... installing 35+ canvases (with precision, might I add) was a good workout!

Here are just some of the "before and after" pictures taken a few days before things were finished and everyone moved in to the new office space.   (Please forgive the not-so-awesome quality of pictures... I didn't have my mega-camera with me when taking these.)

Spring 2013, I got to work with about 16 of the ARC-South OB families doing mini-sessions.  And those families are featured on an entire hallway.

There are a few rooms that I haven't had a chance to photograph yet... hopefully I'll be able to do that soon.  A big "Thank You" to Austin Regional Clinic - South OB for allowing me to display my work in your offices.  Such an honor, and such a great group of people to work with!  I hope your patients have been enjoying the canvases too.

The Ly. Family {Austin Family Photographer}

These four were up bright and early for family picture day.  It was a blast working with them!  Check out the adorable L Family...

The Lo. Mother & Son Duo {Austin Family Photographer}

I love getting to work with such wonderful families through my photography.  This mother/son duo was part of my mini-session weekend with about 20 families from ARC-South OB offices.  This guy thought that our start time of 9:30am was a bit too early on a Saturday morning, but he did great.

And afterwards, his mom emailed me and said that as they were driving away after our session, he said that I made the session really fun.  And really fast.  :)  I'm glad that I get to show people that family picture day can be fun!

Enjoy a sneak peek into our morning.
