Love Letters: From the B Family {Austin Family Photographer}

"Sarah took such care with our family.  She spent so much time capturing the perfect pictures of our newborn daughter and was so patient with our 3 year old son.  She gave me a ton of info to prepare for our session and she came to our home so prepared for our lifestyle newborn session.

The ordering session was a new experience for me, as I have never had this offered from another photographer.  In the past I would order the digital options and then print a few photos, but never ended up ordering anything special for our home.

Sarah spent 2 hours with me (and was so patient with me as I had to bring my newborn with me and nurse her during our ordering session) at our ordering session selecting so many wonderful prints, canvases and more for our home.  Now I can finally enjoy the beautiful photos she took of our family.

Sarah was so easy to work with.  She told us exactly what to do, and just helped us have fun with it.  Sarah has a great personality and makes the session easy and fun!"

M's Maternity Session {Austin Newborn Photographer}

There is something so special about a baby bump.  And something so sweet about having those images to look back on once baby arrives.

I'll be the first to admit that late in my pregnancies (or maybe any time in them?!) I did not feel extraordinarily "pretty" or camera-worthy.  But I knew my body was working hard to carry out a miracle... life's biggest blessings.  And I love looking back on my maternity pictures.  Once your baby is cuddling in your arms, it is just incredible to look back on those images and wonder, "How did my baby fit in there?"  Or when they are four and such a big boy... and you wonder, "Where has time gone?  I feel like I was just preparing for his arrival."

One of the things I love most about my job is the incredible families that I have the fortune of working with, and the H Family is certainly one of them.  I feel like I've known M for a long time, and although we had communicated on the phone and in email prior to our session, this was our first in-person meeting.  And I cannot wait to work with this soon-to-be family of four at their newborn session in a few weeks when baby boy arrives!

Enjoy some sweet images from our morning together.  And seriously... could Big Brother be any cuter?!

The D Family... And Baby Elliott Makes 6 {Austin Baby & Family Photographer}

I so enjoyed working with the D Family.  But boy did they keep me on my toes!  You see, there were sixty toes to photograph!  :)

Do you want to see what was really happening in the above image?  Controlled chaos... that's what!  And I love it.  Because being a mom of two little kiddos myself, I know that "controlled chaos" is pretty much the norm most days.

Here is a glimpse into what really happened.  And trust me... I knew better than to try and remove those "Dora the Explorer" blocks from the twin boys.  :)  Baby sister isn't loving it, big sister is giving the look, and the rest is history.  These parents got a kick out of this "what was really happening" image at the ordering session when I showed them the real image (not the above image that I had cropped).

In all reality, I loved working with the 6 owners of all 60 of those toes.  They are a sweet family who love each other very much, and that is so sweet to capture on camera.  I adore the beautiful canvas gallery wrap collection we created for their mantle in their new home, and can't wait to hear how much they love gazing at it once it is up, along with all the rest of their prints.

Here are some more sneaks from our session together.

If you're thinking of booking a family or newborn portrait session for Fall 2013, don't wait... my 2013 calendar is almost full!  (Especially for newborns.)  Have a happy day!

Little Miss Turns One {Austin Family Photographer}

OH how I adore doing cake smash sessions!  They are so fun, unique, and a great way to capture a first (or second) birthday milestone.  I like to start them out by doing a few regular shots of baby, then moving into the cake smash, and then to the bubble bath.

Sweet Little Miss was such a doll.  Her parents told me she was a tough cookie to get smiles from, and she sure was... but I think her serious face is just as beautiful as her smiles.  As her parents and I were chatting, we realized they lived right next door to some of my family's best friends in our neighborhood.  I love that my neighborhood is like a "small town" in a big city!

Here is some cuteness from her Cake Smash session.

Jennifer & Taylor's Headshots

I recently enjoyed doing headshots of Jennifer and Taylor from Count and Castle Interior Design.  Talk about one talented mama... Jennifer is not only an award-winning interior designer, she also manages to keep up (like a supermama!) with three little boys 4 and under.  You can check out her website here.

When we were shooting their headshots in her home, guess who kept stealing the show?  Cute little guy...

The Adorable S Family {Austin Family Photographer}

You may have seen the sneak peeks from this session here (and here).

I have so enjoyed the times I get to work with the S Family.  I feel like they are old friends, and every time I see them, their precious little girls just get cuter and cuter.

Enjoy some more looks from our session in my home studio space.
