A Kiss for Sis {Austin Baby Photographer}

Oh, how I adore these two little beauties!  I have had the honor of photographing this family seven times since Miles of Smiles Photography started almost three years ago.  And every time I work with them, it keeps getting cuter and cuter because these two are just so precious.

I couldn't get over how much Quin has changed since her newborn session (click here for that cuteness)!  You would think as a mom of two young kiddos that I wouldn't be so surprised by that, but I am.  Every time.  Babies grow so quickly!  And don't even get me started on how much Miss Gia has grown up since I first met her at 6 months old... (click here.)

There are SO many more sweet images to show from this session, but for now, I had to post a few to melt their mama's heart since I'll be traveling and away from the computer a bit.  Enjoy a few sneak peeks, and stay tuned to more images from this adorable session after I meet with their mama for the ordering session.

Are you thinking of booking a child or family portrait session this fall?  Now is definitely the time to reserve your spot on the calendar, as fall is filling very quickly.  Contact me for availability and info.  Have a happy day!

Sweet Mahlon {Austin Lifestyle Newborn Photographer}

I love lifestyle sessions.  Especially lifestyle newborn sessions, because I know as a mom of two Littles, there is SO much love, planning, crafting, shopping, and creativity that can go into creating your baby's nursery.  (And other rooms in your family's home, too.)  And it's fun to get some of that on camera when baby is just a tiny little thing.

And it is also fun to capture a family in their own element.  The B Family newborn session was one of my all-time favorites because we did just that.

I love how sweet Mahlon was... so tiny, new, and perfect.  And her big brother reminded me so much of my little Miles when his baby sister was born.  And don't even get the little Midwest farm-girl in me started about how excited I was when they said they had a red barn that we could use for some pictures too.

When this mama sat down with me at our ordering session, happy tears came to her eyes as she watched the slideshow of her images for the first time.  I love when the things I capture through my camera bring that emotion to a new mom, because that is exactly what I work towards when shooting.  We put together such a unique and fun order for their home, and I can't wait to get their fine art products and images in for this sweet family of 4 to enjoy for many years to come.

Enjoy a sneak peek into our lifestyle newborn session.

P.S. - After the three hour session, I was packing up my things, and Mahlon's daddy said, "Could you get your camera out for one more shot?  She loves laying on me when I'm laying on the couch."  (I thought to myself, "Yes and Yes!  And how awesome that this guy is asking me to take MORE pics."  Usually guys are cooked by then.)  :)  And this is the shot we got.  She absolutely loved curling up on her daddy.  Love, love, love!

To the B Family: It was so great working with the four of you.  What a sweet family you are, and I look forward to working with you again in the future and watching your family grow.  Enjoy every moment.

The D Family {Austin Family Photographer}

Oh, what a doll Miss Evelyn was to work with!

Her dad called me awhile back and said they normally take her to a place in the mall, but wanted to try something different to get better results and to get Evelyn to smile.  It reminded me of my "mall experience" back in early 2009 with my baby Miles (it was no bueno), which is one of the contributing factors to Miles of Smiles Photography coming to fruition and becoming a business.

On their client paperwork, I noticed they were bringing a backpack and some books, so I knew the perfect prop to take with me to our session.  And let me tell you... Miss Evelyn LOOOOVED my little school desk.  So much so, that she didn't want to get out of it!  Precious.

I adore how their family's images turned out, and just love that I get to capture such sweet memories in a family's life like this.  Little E reminded me so much of my baby girl, because they are the same age.

Enjoy a sneak peek into our morning.  And if you're thinking about booking a session for Fall 2013, now is the time to contact me and get it on the calendar.  (Don't wait until the last minute, pretty please.)

I'm Baaaaack... Well, For a Minute At Least.

Sorry I've been a little MIA on the blog lately.  We took our family vacation to Colorado.  It was supposed to happen in July, but was postponed due to Miles getting really sick the morning we were supposed to fly, and then the kids and I have been battling sickness ever since.

It was a great trip, and a great 4.5 days away from to-do lists, computers, traffic, and work schedules.

We got back, and in a matter of days, accomplished many things that included a visit from my in-laws, Miles' 4th birthday party, a newborn ordering session, family session, newborn session, and much more.  And coming soon, the kids and I are flying to the Midwest for several days to visit my sweet family and play on the farm. And to do some family mini-sessions while I'm there.

The non-stop busy Fall portrait season seems to have started in August, but I'm gearing up and looking forward to working with many adorable families this fall!

Speaking of... If you're thinking of booking a portrait session for sometime in 2013, NOW is definitely the time, as I have limited openings left (especially on weekends).  For a fall session, you definitely don't want to wait until the last minute.  (Especially for newborn sessions.)

You can find details about my Fall/Holiday Mini-Session Specials by clicking here.  I have a few mini-session spots left, and a handful of full sessions for Fall 2013.

If you're wanting to book a full family or newborn session, please contact me for pricing info.

Katherine's 1 Year Cake Smash Session {Austin Family Photographer}

To say I get excited to see babies I photographed as newborns is an understatement. It is always fun seeing how much they have grown and changed since they were newborns.  I know I am amazed at that every day with my own babies, and it's fun to see MOSP babies grow too!

Sweet Katherine was such a little doll to work with.  Click here for her newborn session.

Flashback to 2012...

And now... 2013.

She came in all smiles, and got very serious about eating her cake with a spoon and then getting a bath afterwards.  Serious... but seriously cute!!

To K's mama: It was so fun seeing you girls again.  What a sweet baby K is!  Thank you for choosing me to capture such sweet memories on camera.  I can't wait to get your sweet prints and images to you in time for K's party, as well as your goodies from the Client Loyalty and Referral Program.  Love getting to work with families like yours!
