Wildflower Beauty {Austin Family Photographer}

A few weeks back, I enjoyed doing some wildflower mini-sessions before these amazing wildflowers dried up.  I went to a college whose colors were cardinal and gold, so perhaps that is one reason that these flowers just own my little photographer heart.

The grandma of this little darling purchased the mini-session for this family as a gift.  What a sweet, thoughtful, and lasting gift that was for them!

Here is a sneak peek into the C family's mini-session.

Sweet Natalia was about to turn one, so I brought out the "ONE" letters.  I love her expression in the first image below!

Wildflower Perfection {Austin Children's Photographer}

To say that everything about this session was perfect would be an understatement.  From the sweet clients to their beautiful dresses to the weather - to the beautiful wildflowers... it was perfect.

I met these two little beauties at the 2011 Fourth of July parade in my neighborhood.  I did free photos for families there and enjoyed the adorable (!!) outfits that these two were wearing.  I mean seriously... does it get any cuter than little blue and white outfits and red cowboy boots... x 2?  (Just you wait... it does!)

And then in December of 2011, I enjoyed photographing S's 5th birthday party.  Talk about fun... Snip Its did hair and makeup (and lots of glitter) for the kids there, there were dress up clothes galore, and then a red carpet moment to finish it all off.  Amazing!  Click here for that blog post and images.

Their mama definitely knows how to dress her beautiful girls.  I had so much fun doing a wildflower mini-session with S & S, and it is one of my favorite sessions to date because of the colors, the sweet story of sisterhood the images tell, and the perfect way these beauties were dressed.  It went so well with the colors of the wildflowers.  (In case you're curious, these dresses are by Matilda Jane.)

Enjoy the sweetness.  I can't wait to see the amazing multi-opening boutique frame her mother purchased with these beautiful prints in it.  What a statement that will make in their beautiful home, and what sweet memories these images will bring back every time they walk past it.  Children grow up so quickly, but portraits are forever, and I feel so blessed to get to create special things and custom artwork like this for my clients.

To their mama: Thanks so much for being such a wonderful client.  I love working with you and your family, and look forward to our next session.  Your girls are such little beauties - inside and out.

Wildflower Weekend Mini-Sessions = HUGE Savings!

Let me start out by saying - I love bluebonnet photos.  I really do.  And I drooled over the beautiful bluebonnet shots the photogs I follow got this season.  (I was sad to miss bluebonnet minis, but I was busy having a little wildflower of my own, new baby Avah.)  But I also feel like everyone and their dog (me included - see bottom of this post) has bluebonnet photos.  And I think that the wildflowers out right now are even more beautiful than the bluebonnets because of all the greens, yellows, reds, and oranges!

And who knows when we'll ever have another spring this rainy to provide all of these amazing colors.  Something tells me it could be awhile.

This morning I went for a run with my kiddos in the double stroller, and we were pretty much in a field (on a path) in the middle of thick wildflowers admiring their beauty.  And then I realized, "Why not have a Wildflower Weekend of mini-sessions?!"

Austin Senior Photographer {Elegant Emily}

Oh to be young, blonde, and have these beautiful blue eyes!  Emily was so sweet to work with, and she was an incredible Senior Rep(resentative) for my "Seniors by Sarah Jordan" program.  (I will be looking to fill a few more Senior Rep spots this fall, so if you have anyone that might make a great rep, have them contact me.)

We had a lot of fun during the shoot, and got so many different looks for her to enjoy.  There were also many laughs (you wouldn't believe what a photographer can balance and hold in order to block the sun and get a stunning shot!) and Emily totally rocked "the fierce" look as we called it.  Enjoy a tiny peek into our session!

To Emily: Thanks for being such an incredible Senior Rep!  And for all the laughs during the session.  Wishing you loads of success in your future!
