Vibrant Colors

Have you ever been asked the question, "If you could be any animal, which one would you be and why?"

I am starting to think if I was an animal, I might just want to be a male peacock.  This morning at the park I was photographing at, the male peacocks were putting on quite a show for their ladies.  It was amazing.

The colors on these birds are my favorite colors... deep and rich teal, green, and blues... and so perfectly and intricately designed.  Here are a few of the best shots I got of the dudes strutting their stuff today.

I now know why they call it "shakin' your tailfeathers!"

INCREDIBLE Colors

I love color.  And in my mind, perhaps the most beautifully colored animal would be the male peacock.  I am around them quite often now, and simply never get over their rich and vibrant colors, and how detailed their feathers are.

Here is the Mister that greeted me this morning.  I know that this time of year is when they spread their fan of feathers, so I was hoping... just hoping that he would feel like doing so today.

He walked around for awhile, and finally, he arched his back, shook his tail feathers, and out came this incredible display of beauty.  Thank you for starting my morning off in an incredible way, Mister Peacock!
