H Family Reunion at Hyatt Lost Pines {Austin Family Photographer}

I was so looking forward to doing this family's reunion portraits at Hyatt Lost Pines Resort.  The 4 kids hired me as a gift to their parents.  What a sweet time to remember in these five families' lives.  Living 1,000 miles away from my families (boo), I know how fun it is when everyone gets together.

Talk about beautiful... Hyatt Lost Pines Resort is amazing, and definitely on my "to do list" with my husband when ever we have someone in town that can watch our kiddos for a day/night so that we can sneak away.  What a fun getaway that would be!  And the perfect place for a family reunion.

These families were so sweet, funny, and great to work with.  And the 10 kiddos?  They pretty much melted my heart.  Don't get me wrong... they made me work for it, but that is what I love to do.  I'm so glad we were able to shoot our session the morning we did, because that same night, Austin got like 10-12 inches of rain and everything (including the river behind the stairs below) flooded big time.

Enjoy their sneak peeks.

 This shot was at the very end... everyone was cooked.  I love how "real" it is.  :)

It's fun to see what comes of two people who fell in love.  For this couple, it was 4 kids and 10 grandkids!

Another Sweet Little Guy... {Austin Newborn Photographer}

Another adorable, cuddly little guy came to see me for his newborn photos.  He was celebrating his 3-week birthday when we shot these, and I just love how they turned out.  It doesn't seem like all that long ago we were doing his sibling's newborn portraits.  I love being able to capture moments as families grow.  So blessed.

Enjoy the cuteness of this little man.

Little Isaac... 11 Days New

Isaac continues my streak of newborn boys this fall.  So many little guys coming to see me for their portraits this fall!  Don't you just want to cuddle him?  So precious.  He was so laid back.

The L Family {Austin Family Photographer}

I love discovering new places... especially ones right nearby that I would have never known existed.

This adorable family had me come to their home to do this session, and it was absolute perfection.  Amazing lighting, beautiful surroundings, the sweetest kiddos, a cute dog, and a gorgeous evening.  We had rescheduled twice due to rain, but this evening was just perfect.

Loved getting to meet and work with such a sweet family.  These kiddos made me really excited for my own two babes to be their ages.  Enjoy their sneak peeks!

 And I even got to experience my first zip-line adventure after the kids showed me how!  Definitely a good way to try zip-lining... being close to the ground.  :)  One day I'll do it in Costa Rica or something above the tree line, but this was the perfect starter for me.

 And oh, this adorable dog... She kept photobombing our pictures and making us laugh.  See her?

Cody Clare's Newborn Session... Part II

Not only did I get to enjoy snuggling and working with beautiful Cody Clare at her newborn session (click here for that), but I also enjoyed working with her cousins who were in town visiting!

These two were so happy and joyful.  And absolute dolls to work with.  Enjoy the cuteness!

Sweet Little Cody Clare... 8 Days New {Austin Baby Photographer}

"Every good and precious gift is from above."  ~Jeremiah 1:17

With that I would have to agree.  And little Cody Clare is certainly a perfect little gift.  What an angel she was during our entire session.  I love the way her images turned out, and hope they bring many smiles to her mom and dad's hearts over the years as they watch her grow and remember how tiny she started.

Not only did I get to photography this family of 3 (plus their dog), Cody Clare's cousins were in town visiting too, so I enjoyed photographing a four month old and almost 3 year old, and all 3 cousins together.  Needless to say, my body got a workout that day!  Stay tuned for part II coming soon for their sweet images.

The F Family's Maternity Session: Getting Personal

There is something so magical about a maternity session.  Maybe it's the excitement that surrounds a new baby coming.  Or the excitement that the mama's pregnancy is soon to be over and she'll soon be holding her sweet baby.  This baby created quite a surprise for this family, as it will be #5!  Sometimes the best things in life are unplanned.  :)  (As a "planner" myself, that is a good thing for me to remember.)

This session was definitely FUN!  This couple came to me with so many fun (and unique) ideas, and I was happy to bring them to life through my lens.

I love making things personal and unique to the family.  This family has 10 acres and is growing a pumpkin patch, so they incorporated some super fun pumpkin shots into their maternity session.  They brought their farm boots, pitchfork, pumpkins, and more!

Can't wait to meet and photograph this baby coming soon!

Some of you may recognize this mama... I first met her when I took her Kickboxing class at Lifetime.  She's a rock star!!

 My favorite shot of the session.  The sun, the love between two people, the beautiful baby bump...

A Trip to the Farm

I grew up in a teeny tiny town in the Midwest.  It cracks me up when I people say, "I grew up in a small town" and I ask them "how small" and they say, "30,000."  That makes 1,200 seem extra, extra teeny tiny if 30,000 is considered small!  ;)

We headed back there a month or so again, and OH how much fun we had!  I do a small number of mini-portrait sessions when I'm home, and it's always fun working with people that I grew up with.

Miles is an old pro on the farm already, and Avah quickly became one.  She was obsessed with feeding the "neighs" apples.  It was the first word that came out of her mouth the second she woke up... "I want NEIGH!" And I bet the horses loved my kiddos as much as they loved the horses because my kiddos fed them so many yummy apples from the tree and corn from the garden.

Here is a little glimpse into our trek there.  We can't wait to go back in the spring!!  (As I'm typing this, Avah is sitting on my lap saying, "HI NEIGH!  HI NEIGH!" to the computer screen as she sees these pictures.)

Facebook Timelines

What is a Facebook timeline?

It is the long, narrow image that runs across your Facebook page.  Here are some sample Timelines we have enjoyed making for our clients.

 And last, but not least... some timelines I've made for my own little family's enjoyment.
